BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Brooklyn FC today announced the signing of forward Jackie Richards, pending league and federation approval.
A native of Reading, Pennsylvania, Richards brings professional experience from Europe and a high-scoring collegiate resume to Maimonides Park, bolstering the squad’s attacking setup.
Most recently, Richards suited up for Scottish Women’s Premier League side Heart of Midlothian.
- A champion with Hearts: Signed in June 2024, she made 28 league appearances for Hearts and was with the club during its run to the 2025/26 league title.
- A standout collegiate player: Prior to turning pro, she enjoyed a highly productive career at Villanova University (18 app, 6G, 1A), Campbell University (35 app, 13G, 17A), and Xavier University (31 app, 3G, 1A). While at Campbell, she was named to United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region Third Team.
Richards’ arrival strengthens Brooklyn FC’s attacking core with a dynamic force capable of creating scoring opportunities, applying pressure on opposition defenses, and dictating play in the final third.
- Head Coach Alex Smith: “Jackie brings high energy and exceptional skill that has already served her well in a professional environment. As we continue to build the culture and balance of the squad, we are excited to see the impact she will have both in the locker room and on the field.”
