Brooklyn, N.Y. (September 30, 2026) — Brooklyn FC Women’s Assistant Coach Errol McFarlane will lead the team for the match on October 2nd against Fort Lauderdale United, while Head Coach Alex Smith is overseas completing his Pro Coaching License Course.
A native of Port of Spain, Trinidad, McFarlane joined the Brooklyn FC Women’s staff ahead of the 2026 Gainbridge Super League Fall Season.
He arrived in Brooklyn after a lengthy professional playing career, making 38 appearances for the Trinidad and Tobago National Team. He played his club football all over the world, including in Iceland, China and the United States.
McFarlane began his coaching career after his retirement and has experience as an MLS NEXT Director and will continue to build on the platform built by Smith. He has spent a lot of time coaching youth football, specifically building up the Super Soccer Stars development program
Brooklyn FC Women have three matches in a row at home coming up, first facing Fort Lauderdale United on October 2, at 7 PM ET. They will then host Dallas Trinity on October 10 at 4 PM ET. Tickets are available on SeatGeek.
