Ten Man Brooklyn FC Fight Back for 2-2 draw with FC Tulsa

Brooklyn, N.Y. (September 19, 2026) – Brooklyn FC Men earned a well deserved point, drawing 2-2 against FC Tulsa, despite getting a red card early in the first half. 

The game started extremely even, with Brooklyn getting two shots close to a goal. In the ninth minute, midfielder CJ Olney Jr turned a defender and drove through midfield, but his shot was straight at the Tulsa goalkeeper, a few minutes later, midfielder Peter Mangione unleashed a powerful shot that just slightly missed the top corner.

In the 17th minute, Brooklyn defender Gabriel Alves was harshly shown a red card after a coming together before a throw-in. In the aftermath, Brooklyn head coach Marlon LeBlanc was also sent off when discussing the incident with the officials.

Tulsa began to control much of the possession after that, and in the 29th minute, they got their opening goal from a long shot from defender Wilson Eisner.

Tulsa then doubled their lead in the 37th minute after a goal from defender Delentz Pierre.

Brooklyn kept fighting and in the 64th minute, they got a goal back to cut the lead in half. Olney sent midfielder Abdoulaye Kanté through on goal with a long ball. Kanté muscled off a defender, cut back onto his left foot, and curled his shot into the back of the net.

Brooklyn kept fighting, even with 10 men and came close on several occasions. A long shot from midfielder Jaden Servania just flew past the net. Another chance came in the 87th minute from a free kick. Olney crossed a ball that found the head of midfielder Malik Pinto, but again went over the bar. 

In the 90th minute of the game, midfielder Tommy McNamara was kicked in the box and a penalty was called. McNamara stepped up to take the penalty himself and scored, to tie the match at 2-2. 

Tulsa tried to respond in stoppage time but the Brooklyn defense stood firm to earn a hard fought point.
