Brooklyn, N.Y. (September 22, 2026) — Brooklyn FC Men congratulates defender Thomas Vancaeyezeele on his call-up to the French Guiana Men’s National Team for the upcoming 2026-27 CONCACAF Nations League matches in September and October.
French Guiana is competing in League B of the Nations League and are looking to return to League A as well as qualify for the 2027 CONCACAF Gold Cup for the second time, after doing so in 2017. During this break, the team will play group stage matches against Saint Vincent and the Grenadines on September 26, Sint Maarten on September 29, and Belize twice, October 3 and October 6.
Vancaeyezeele made his first appearance for his national team back in 2019, and has earned 14 caps. He is returning to the national team for the first time since 2024.
Vancaeyezeele has been a crucial member of the Brooklyn FC squad, starting 22 of his 23 appearances in the 2026 USL Championship season. He has played the second-most minutes in the Brooklyn FC team, and has played in multiple positions around the pitch, including center-back, right-back and midfield. Vanca also leads the team in blocks and interceptions this season.
Brooklyn FC Men travel to face Birmingham Legion on September 23 at 12 PM ET before returning home. They then have two matches in a row at Maimonides Park, taking on Detroit City FC on September 30 at 7 PM ET, and then Rhode Island FC on October 3. Tickets are available on SeatGeek.
