Brooklyn, N.Y. (October 29, 2026) — Brooklyn FC Women head on the road for the first time in over a month, traveling to Florida to play Sporting Jacksonville. The Halloween matchup will take place on October 31 at 2 PM ET, streaming on Peacock.
Brooklyn FC and Sporting JAX met back on September 13 which Brooklyn won 3-2 at home and marked the start of their improved form this season. In their last five matches, they have only lost once and have been undefeated in their last four matches at home. However, the team is still looking for their first road points this season, having lost all four of their matches away from Maimonides Park.
Sporting JAX currently sit in second place in the Gainsbridge Super League, and are the top scorers in the league with 19 goals in nine matches. Forward Baylee DeSmit and midfielder Ashley Puerta are the two top scorers in the whole league, with seven and six goals in nine appearances respectively. They have also notched two assists each. The team’s form has dipped recently, with only one win in their last six matches while also conceding seven goals in their last three matches.
With just five matches remaining in the season, Brooklyn needs to keep winning if they want to maintain hope of making the playoffs. Forward Catherine Zimmerman scored a 90th minute winner to beat Tampa Bay 1-0 in the last match, her third goal of the season and sixth career goal against Tampa. Goalkeeper Bre Norris returned to the starting XI and earned her second clean sheet of the season, while forward Ashlyn Miller got her second assist of the season for Zimmerman’s goal. Midfielder Jilly Shimkin has also been a standout this season, leading the team’s creativity with 17 chances created. The club also added midfielder Abbey-Leigh Stringer to the squad for the final stretch of the season, bringing experience and depth to the team.
Brooklyn FC Women return home to host Carolina Ascent on November 7 at 2 PM ET. They will then head on the road for two more matches on November 11 and November 21 at DC Power FC and Tampa Bay Sun. Tickets are available on SeatGeek.
