Brooklyn, N.Y. (September 3, 2026) — Brooklyn FC Women have a second match in a row on the road, this week taking on Dallas Trinity FC. The match takes place on September 5 at 8:30 PM ET, streaming on Peacock.
Brooklyn FC’s last match was a 1-0 loss to Fort Lauderdale United in Florida. Despite a positive performance where they controlled much of the game, Alex Smith’s Brooklyn side could not find a goal in the match. They will be hoping to change their luck against Dallas, a team that Brooklun is undefeated against in 2026.
Dallas are still winless in the 2026 Gainbridge Super League Fall season, having drawn on opening night against the Tampa Bay Sun and then lost two matches in a row. They appointed former USMNT midfielder Lee Nguyen as head coach over the summer, hoping to lead the team to success after getting to the Super League semi-finals in each of the last two seasons. They brought back key defender Syndey Cheesman, as well as forward Jasmine Hamid and midfielder Camryn Lancaster, who each scored four goals in the 2025/26 season. They added former Brooklyn goalkeeper Neeku Purcell to the team, on loan from NWSL side Seattle Reign, as well as several other players from the NWSL like Seven Castain and Jamie Sheppard who have started all three matches so far.
Brooklyn put in a much stronger performance last week and will hope to continue improving for their first win of the season. After scoring against DC Power, defender Jordan Thompson moved into the starting XI last week and made a big impact in stabilizing the defense as well as Annie Williams-Arlington, the two provided a veteran presence in the back line. Midfielder Jennifer Cudjoe also made a difference in midfield, making her season debut and controlling much of the match. She will hope to do this again and give the attackers in the team a platform to shine. Forwards Tziarra King, Catherine Zimmerman, and Carlee Giammona have all threatened in all three matches, but are still looking for their first goals of the season. Brooklyn FC really need their attacking players to come to life, as they look to keep pace with the other teams in the Super League in this shortened season.
Looking ahead in the schedule, Brooklyn FC Women are back at home on September 13 to face Sporting Jacksonville at 3 PM ET. They will then head on the road to play Carolina Ascent on September 19. Tickets are available on SeatGeek.
