Brooklyn, N.Y. (September 14, 2026) — Brooklyn FC Women’s forward Catherine Zimmerman has been nominated for the Gainbridge Super League Player of the Week award for week 5. Voting begins at 2 PM ET on September 14 and ends at 2 PM on September 15.
Zimmerman earned her nomination for her performance in Brooklyn’s home match against Sporting JAX, in which she scored twice and led her team to a 3-2 victory. Zimmerman’s first goal came just five minutes into the match, running in behind goal and striking past the keeper with her first touch. The second goal was the game winner, coming in the 82nd minute. A cross found her at the back post which she was able to tap into the back of the net and seal the three points as well as Brooklyn’s first win of the season.
