Brooklyn FC Men return to Maimonides Park on Sunday, June 7, for Pride Night, one of the club’s annual fan-favorite matchdays.
The afternoon kicks off at 3:00 p.m. ET (gates open at 1:30) as Brooklyn FC hosts Portland Hearts of Pine in Round 3 of the Prinx Tires USL Cup Group Stage. Brooklyn enters the match with a 1-1-0 record in group play after a 3-0 opening-round road victory over the New York Cosmos and a hard-fought home loss vs. Hartford Athletic 2-0.
In collaboration with the Brooklyn Community Pride Center, Pride Night will celebrate the diversity, authenticity, and inclusive spirit that make Brooklyn special, both on and off the pitch.
Fans can enjoy a variety of Pride-themed activities and community activations throughout the afternoon, including:
- A ceremonial opening kick from Refuge America Executive Director Edafe Okporo, a nationally recognized advocate for LGBTQIA+ refugees and asylum seekers.
- A special Brooklyn FC x Brooklyn Community Pride Center collab t-shirt available exclusively in the team store, with a portion of proceeds benefiting the Center.
- A tie-dye station on the concourse for fans of all ages.
- A rainbow chalk station where families can leave their colorful mark on the matchday celebration.
- Community tabling from Queer Craft Club and other local organizations supporting Brooklyn’s LGBTQ+ community.
- Pride-themed music, giveaways, and matchday entertainment throughout Maimonides Park.
The day’s action begins before kickoff as the Flushing Campus Soccer League Championship takes center stage at Maimonides Park. The league provides local high school students with an opportunity to train and compete in organized soccer, and the championship match will give players the chance to showcase their talents on a professional stage in front of friends, family, and the Brooklyn FC community. This year’s FCSL Championship Match will be played in honor of Santiago Mendoza, a Flushing Campus Soccer student-athlete who passed away following a motorcycle accident in February. Mendoza’s memory will be recognized throughout the event as players, coaches, families and supporters come together to celebrate the sport he loved.
Whether you’re a longtime supporter or attending your first Brooklyn FC match, Pride Night is an opportunity to come together, celebrate community, and cheer on Brooklyn as they continue their USL Cup campaign.
Tickets start at just $15, all in. Get yours on SeatGeek.
See you at Maimonides Park on June 7.
