Brooklyn, N.Y. (October 21, 2026) – Brooklyn FC Men lost 2-1 in their final home match of the season against Birmingham Legion.
Brooklyn FC got off to a fast start this week, with the opening goal coming after just seven minutes. Midfielder Jaden Servania ran down the right wing towards the byline before cutting the ball back to midfielder Malik Pinto. Pinto’s first time shot flew into the roof of the net for his second goal of the season, scoring in the last two home matches.
Birmingham found an equalizer in the 18th minute. A through ball found forward Sebastian Tregarthen running in behind from the right wing, and he finished a shot in the bottom corner.
Brooklyn had another chance in the 38th minute, as midfielder Johnny Klein got his head on a ball and flicked it towards goal, but just missed.
In the second half, Birmingham took the lead, as Tregarthen scored again. A free kick in the 63rd minute was cleared and fell to Tregarthen who cut in on his left foot and curled another shot into the bottom corner.
Brooklyn had another chance in the 73rd minute, as a cross from a corner found defender Ryan McLaughlin for a free header, but his shot went straight at the Birmingham goalkeeper. Brooklyn dominated much of the final stages of the match, and whipped in crosses to create chances, but could not find an equalizer.
