Brooklyn, N.Y. (October 19, 2026) — Brooklyn FC Men host Birmingham Legion for their last home match at Maimonides Park in 2026. Kickoff is at 6:30 PM ET on October 21, streaming on ESPN+.
This match was meant to be played back in August, but had to be delayed due to weather related issues. The two teams faced off earlier in September where Birmingham came away with a 4-0 win at home. Both teams are missing the playoffs this year and are now looking at building towards 2027.
Birmingham played at home during the weekend against Loudoun United and the match ended in a 0-0 draw. Czech goalkeeper Jassem Koleilat has been a standout this season, making 97 saves, the second most in the USL Championship, as well as keeping seven clean sheets. Despite this, Birmingham are vulnerable from set pieces, conceding 18 goals from them, the most in the league. Forward Ronaldo Damus has scored six goals thus far in 2026, as well as netting in the reverse fixture against Brooklyn.
Brooklyn beat Hartford 3-2 away last weekend, earning their second road win of the season. Brooklyn have put in much better performances this season at home, and an away win will give them momentum heading into this fixture. Midfielder CJ Olney Jr continued his fantastic campaign, scoring his fourth goal of the season, as well as his eighth assist of the year. Forward Abdoulaye Kanté also scored in the match against Hartford, his third of the season, and has grown in importance to the squad since his return from injury in September. Both midfielder Jaden Servania and defender Thomas Vancaeyezeele returned to action with Brooklyn after international duty, and both provided assists in the win. However, the team will be missing two key players, defender Callum Frogson, who had to exit with injury, and midfielder Anthony Fontana, who received a red card and will be suspended.
Brooklyn FC Men conclude their season away at Loudoun United on October 24 at 5 PM ET.
