What to Expect: Paws to the Pitch Night, Saturday, Aug 29

Woof! Brooklyn FC is officially going to the dogs — in the best way possible.

This Saturday, we’re hosting our annual Paws to the Pitch Night on August 29, inviting fans to bring their four-legged fans out to Maimonides Park for an evening of pup-centric fun, a limited-edition merch drop, and, of course, high-energy footy.

The match kicks off at 7:00 PM as the BKFC Men host Sporting JAX, who sit right behind Brooklyn in the USL Championship Eastern Conference standings.

How It Works

Pretty simple. If you’ve got a ticket, your dog can be your plus-one for the match. Just make sure you’ve got a leash, and you’re good to go.

Whether your dog is a seasoned tactical analyst or just likes the smell of fresh turf, here is what you and your canine companion can look forward to:

Pre-Match Dog Parade: Arrive early to join the always-fun march with fellow Brooklyn FC supporters and their best friends. The pre-match parade makes all the pups the stars on the pitch.
Poop Bag Dispenser Giveaway: Each dog through the turnstiles will score a FREE Brooklyn FC-branded poop bag dispenser. It’s perfect for early morning walks through the neighborhood and it’s bright red, so you won’t lose it easily when your pooch starts barking to go out.
Puppy Partners: Throughout the concourse, local dog-related organizations and rescue shelters will be on hand to share their mission to support dogs and pets in our borough. Paws to the Pitch Night partners include Bond Vet, Animal Care Center of NYC, Louie’s Legacy, Best Friends Animal Society, Must Love Dogs and Comedy, Boris & Horton, and the Good Dog Foundation.

Limited-Edition Merch Drop

This week, we unleashed a special-edition graphic tee to celebrate Paws to the Pitch Night. The new limited-edition Puppy Love Tee lets you show off your BKFC pride and your love for your pooch.

Printed on premium, ultra-comfortable fabric, the Puppy Love Tee features a whimsical front graphic showing a soccer-loving pup in a Brooklyn FC jersey and our traditional wordmark enhanced with a dash of a new red accent color. The shirt is available in Adult and Youth sizes.
